For the joy of the Lord is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10b
There is a joy beyond everyday level plains,
And glistening mountaintops.
It is the joy of being pursued and wanted by a loving Creator and Redeemer.
It is the joy of receiving His highest honor, Salvation!
It is the joy to really know Him as personal Lord and Savior.
It is the joy of growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
It is the joy of discovering true satisfaction is found only in Him.
It is the joy of realizing that in His limitless love there is no condemnation.
It is the joy of studying truth and refusing to believe the enemies lies.
It is the joy of knowing that He delights in me and I in Him.
Even midst trials, temptations, and tribulations God’s promise of presence and provision brings joyous relief.
It was this very type of joy that made Paul sing praises
In the midst of a dark imprisonment.
Joy is the
That only His presence and comfort brings.
When earthly circumstances seem dark and dim,
There is joy in knowing the glory of the invisible
Far outweighs the reality of the visible.
There is joy in realizing that every minute of my existence
Involves the intricate, miraculous working of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
There is joy in the deep understanding
That no matter what this life brings
He will never,
No ever leave me
FOR THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH!
This divine joy that Christ gives grows us beyond
And human might.
It is the deep reverential, worshipful, prayerful insight
Of knowing that true and lasting joy is only found
In a redemptive never-ending relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
And the fruit of the spirit is JOY!
